Local network addresses
An RTCPeerConnection with no ICE servers still reveals the addresses your OS would use on the local network — no network call, nothing leaves the page.
External lookups
third-partyThese lookups reach outside this page. Each runs only when you press its button — nothing is automatic. DNS queries (PTR/ASN) go to the resolver selected below; RDAP queries rdap.org (redirects to the authoritative RIR); WebRTC contacts stun.l.google.com.
RDAP / WHOIS
RIPE and APNIC don't send CORS headers on RDAP responses, so this fails for a large share of addresses — including most of Europe and Asia. That's a registry limitation, not a bug here.
WebRTC public IP
If this differs from the public IP above, something between you and the edge — a VPN, a proxy — is leaking its own address through WebRTC.
